PETALING JAYA: Green Packet Bhd’s KipleLive contactless and face recognition platform was deployed at the “Pasca PKPP Sektor Pelancongan” seminar held yesterday, which was one of the first few live events to be conducted since the movement control order (MCO).

The seminar, sponsored by the Malaysian Association of Tourism Agencies (Mata) and Meeting, Incentives, Convention & Exhibition (Mice), congregated key tourism industry players to have a dialog about employing the right standard operating procedures (SOPs) in recuperating the industry the soonest possible.

In order to cover the 10,800-square-feet hall while attending to 500 delegates across two sessions, the event organisers opted for the kipleLive Contactless and Face Recognition platform.

According to KipleLive CEO Ti Lian Seng, (pic) events will typically take up a large amount of manpower, money, time and paperwork.

However, KipleLive enables the automation of many procedures while complying with the new SOPs.

“At KipleLive, we always strive to adopt the latest technology.

“In this way, we can ensure that even with large groups of attendees proceeding to the seminar, it is done in an orderly manner without any bottleneck at the entrance.

“Our solution automates speedy thermal scans in just under 0.8 seconds while maintaining an accuracy of 98% in body temperature reading, ” he said.Matta president Datuk Mohd Khalid Harun said the use of physical tags was eliminated as KipleLive used facial biometrics as a secure digital verification to prevent unregistered guests.

“KipleLive was able to match the faces of attendees with the photo IDs provided prior to the event.

“At the same time, it serves as a digital record of attendance.

“This helps us to strategise and plan upcoming events such as concerts, travel fairs and exhibitions better in compliance with the new SOPs, ” he said.

KipleLive is already being implemented in workplaces, schools, factories and now in exhibitions, seminars and conferences.

In line with the Economic Recovery Plan, the government has now allowed live events to be conducted, but with strict adherence to the new SOP.
