Mobile IP
Mobile IP is a technology that enables the switching of access networks without interrupting the current voice or data session. With Mobile IP, mobile device users can also move from one network to another while maintaining their permanent (single) IP address.
With the blurring of network boundaries and a single IP address, we love the Mobile IP technology because it enables us to provide seamless connectivity to a full range of voice, data and media services, between devices, networks and applications. Especially with the existence of multiple wireless technologies, seamless roaming now plays an important role in providing a reliable, always-on and secure connectivity in addition to ensuring quality of service.
Mobile IP is an Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standard communications protocol.
