Self Organising Network

"Convenience and mobility at your fingertips."

Independent of complex infrastructures, Green Packet's Self Organising Network (SON) technology equips users with the freedom to immediately form an ad hoc peer-to-peer network over various WiFi devices. Robust by nature, the technology enables optimised communication between mobile devices even when users are offline.

The main features in SON technology are:

This function detects surrounding mobile devices within 50 metres, such as notebooks, PDAs and smart phones.

Once the mobile devices have been discovered, the necessary configuration is performed on each device.

Next, an ad hoc peer-to-peer network is organised and established between the mobile devices.

Through this function, data can still be transmitted to other devices outside the reachable radius.

Automatically detects and fixes any broken links in the network to ensure an uninterrupted connection.

The best route is utilised during a packet transmission, allowing for optimum bandwidth utilisation at all times.

In addition to the SON Technology, Green Packet's product and services are powered by these other technologies:
  • Mobile IP
  • IP Security VPN
  • ODMA
  • SONone
