After its first commercial deployment of WiMAX 2.3GHz in Malaysia, Green Packet has a lot to say about its “DNA” strategy for WiMAX deployment; “Device, Network and Application”. A strategy to be shared by the WiMAX leading provider in the Asia Pacific Region.

Amman, Jordan, June 2-3, 2008 - Green Packet Networks presented its WiMAX consultancy strategy during the 5th Media Telecommunications Convergence Conference taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman.

Green Packet offers a comprehensive range of WiMAX consultancy service designed in a modular format to offer licensed WIMAX operators the option to develop a specific skill, or to adopt a fully integrated turnkey solution. This consulting service is made available through capable talent pool of professionals and not just from the telecommunications fields but from various industries to ensure diverse skill sets and expertise to firmly establish Green Packet’s place in the market.

Green Packet can also help operators define their WIMAX strategy, increase chances of successful bidding for a spectrum license, and support business planning, from vendor selection, technology planning and design to network deployment and optimizations. Furthermore, operators will be able to increase expertise in program management, product strategy, and sales & marketing strategy.

Mr. Yagoub Al Sulais, General Manager of Green Packet Networks Middle East & Africa and one of the main speakers of the conference said:

“One of the most apparent trends today is the enlargement of the distribution of networks: both fixed and mobile carriers have increased their distribution of services such as broadband access with WiMAX, WiFi or WLAN they provide to customers by offering them a shorter turnaround time and cost saving”

He added, “WiMAX is THE Technology to complement and further MENA’s socio-economic progress, giving the people in this region, greater choices in how and where they get connected, either in the home or at the workplace, or on the move.  With the expertise and experience of the partners we work with, we are in a good position to drive the onset of advance wireless connectivity in this region. We are focusing our strategy on providing efficient technical consultancy to the region carriers on their WiMAX endeavor of their respective countries”

Green Packet’s launch of Malaysia’s nation-wide wireless network would provide fixed and nomadic voice and broadband services that would eventually move into mobile services based on WiMAX network roadmap.

Green Packet Networks has just started this exciting journey and intends to be the market leader along with the committed partners by offering its WiMAX consultancy services and solutions to MENA region. WiMAX is set to revolutionize the broadband landscape by facilitating significantly faster wireless communications and making the Internet mobile and more personal.

Green Packet has also transformed Kuala Lumpur into a world-class wireless city by building the Mesh-WiFi network for the Wireless@KL project and it’s currently the 2nd largest hot spot operator in Malaysia and slated to be the largest by September 2008 with 1500 hot spots.
