GREENPACKET LAUNCHES it’s LTE “LiTE” SINGLE-BAND MODEM

Greenpacket, a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and networking solutions, today announced its new product, LTE LiTE with the introduction of its portfolio. The all-new LiTE retains Greenpacket’s award-winning functional design concepts and combines the simplicity of LTE features in creating a high quality product for the mass market.

This latest product of the LiTE portfolio is simple and yet compact in design, offers high-speed connectivity, reliable and durable that supports LTE technology standard, including FDD Band 2, 3, 4, or 7 and TDD Band 38 or 40. Moreover, LiTE is a single-band modem that allows operators to choose specific band that they need instead of the conventional multiple bands in a modular which is relatively costlier. This allows flexibility and low cost of ownership to operators and subsequently to their subscribers while offering uninterrupted services.

Taking a step further, Greenpacket recently partnered with Mobric Inc., a distributed computing company specializing in 4G broadband device performance monitoring. The Service Insight introduced by Mobric has facilitated telecom operators to engage Proactive Customer Care by its cutting-edge device-sourced big data analytics. It features efficient device monitoring and is concocted to empower operators to address problems even before subscribers are aware of the issues. Service Insight has aimed for telecom operators to increase customers’ satisfaction and reducing churn rate by proactively spotting coverage problems, investigating historical issues, and giving analytics insight.

Mr. James Wang, Senior Vice President of Greenpacket Solutions’ Innovation and Strategy Development said, “Greenpacket’s LiTE residential outdoor modem features compact form factor for low installation cost. Being installed on the rooftop, LiTE outdoor unit, with its increased uplink performance, enables operators to extend 4G coverage to reach more subscribers. Equipped with a high gain antenna and PoE injector, the 802.11n Wi-Fi router inside the house could extend home coverage allowing multiple devices to share the high-speed broadband. Whereas our indoor modem portfolio is equipped with built-in omni-antenna with peak gain up to 8dBi and antenna efficiency above 70%. The exceptional radio performance facilitates operators to enhance indoor service coverage when delivering more EIRP (Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power) than any other indoor units of the same category.”

Carriers in emerging countries on the other hand are looking forward to leap-frog wireline and 3G altogether on LTE. Our aim is to enrich the LTE ecosystem with device variations and alternatives. We believe that only through the creation of options and better products, operators will have the confidence to fast track launch and go to market”.

Greenpacket’s recent acceptance as a member of Global TD-LTE Initiative’s Partner Program highlights its commitment in the development of TD-LTE access network devices and the promotion of the TD-LTE ecosystem. The company will also be at Mobile World Congress 2014 Barcelona, Spain, showcasing these newly launched modems at its partner’s booth, Mobric Inc., at #7H17 Hall 7 with their subject matter experts and to meet operators across the globe.
