Green Packet partners newly-listed Sinotel to tap new markets

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 November 2007 – Green Packet Berhad (Green Packet) has entered into a collaboration with newly-listed Sinotel Technologies Ltd (Sinotel), a wireless connectivity innovator that provides a wide range of customised wireless telecommunication applications and solutions to participants across the China telecommunication value chain.

Under the collaboration, each party would appoint the other as Marketing Partner to promote its products in their respective territories. Sinotel shall promote Green Packet's Next Generation Mobile Broadband Network solutions within China especially to China Mobile and China Unicom.

Green Packet, on the other hand, will promote Sinotel’s proprietary wireless telecommunication applications and solutions outside of China, namely South East Asia, the Middle East and North Africa where Green Packet has an established presence.

The collaboration with complementary products and solutions in the current and next generation wireless communication network will strengthen Green Packet’s strategic positioning in the market. Moreover, the marketing of a broadened portfolio of products and solutions through the same customer base will generate additional revenue to the group.

The partnership brings complementary geographical fit and customer base as Sinotel has strong relationship with China Mobile and China Unicom while Green Packet has a strong and long-standing relationship with China Telecom.
