KUALA LUMPUR, 24 January 2006 ¨C Green Packet Berhad (Green Packet) via its wholly-owned subsidiary, Green Packet Shanghai Limited, has entered into a partnership agreement today with one of the largest telecommunications giants in China and the second largest in China Telecom¡¯s stable, Zhejiang Telecom Company Limited (Zhejiang Telecom), on a synergistic collaboration to promote the total solution of ¡°Wireless E-communication¡± in the Zhejiang province.

Under the collaboration, Zhejiang Telecom will leverage on Green Packet¡¯s Unified Mobility Solution, which is hosted by its SONaccess Home Agent Servers and Foreign Agent Servers, to integrate the Personal Handyphone System (PHS) wireless data and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) networks for the deployment of broadband wireless networks throughout the Zhejiang province.

SONaccess and SONmobile, which utilize a ¡°always-on¡±, ¡°secured¡±, ¡°seamless roaming¡± platform, will facilitate roaming across Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), WLAN and PHS networks at broadband speeds irrespective of the location and the underlying network.
