Transmission Planner / Engineer (Fiber Optical Network)
Responsibilities:

Prepare plan for resilience of IP network and future network expansion plan |
° |
Designing and plan for any fiber network integration at site and Data center |
° |
Highly motivated with the ability to operate without direct supervision |
° |
Solid understanding of complex transport system hardware and software architectures |
° |
Depth technical knowledge of optical layer 1 transport systems, OTN, ROADM, SDH, cross connect switching and signal grooming, as well as, knowledge of ring and mesh network topologies |
° |
Expert knowledge of carrier-class networking architecture, including the following technologies: DWDM, /SDH, IP/ MPLS/ Ethernet and SNMP |
° |
Preparing the plan for optimization of optical network for efficient use of network elements & bandwidth |
° |
Responsible for latency measurement for any newly provisioned links and existing links |
° |
Designing the end to end circuit and get it implemented and tested with the coordination of P1 SOC and Rollout team |
° |
Endorse the test setup and test documents for end to end capacity testing |
° |
Responsible for Bandwidth Integration & Acceptance into Network by interacting with Supplier regarding handover of Capacity and completing its acceptance within stipulated time |
° |
Write MOP/ RFC for capacity acceptance in P1 Network |
° |
Work closely with IP team in for IP backbone as per IP engineering projection |
Requirements:

Degree and above with or without working experiences (experience in Transmission field is added advantage) |
